A very well written take on an important subject. I remember growing up in small town Canada hearing about black children being escorted to school in Little Rock and it seemed like such an alien concept. I couldn't understand how those children could be a threat to anyone. By 1968 and the race riots in the U.S. I was an adult and still couldn't understand. I guess I never will.Product details

Dying Embers eBook Glenn Trust Reviews
Taking place during the Civil Rights Movement in the story Glenn eloquently rights of the beauty of true friendship and love in the face of the tragedies that follows those who are filled with hate.
...started out like "Mayberry RFD" and ended like "In the Heat of the Night". Glenn is evolving into a most exciting author. The grittiness of his "Hunter" series simmers below the surface in "Embers", but the realism of life in the South during the 60's takes center stage, creating a reading experience which captures his readers at the outset and holds them willing captives throughout. Hope that Glenn considers making this into a new series for his growing cadres of fans.
I read many books, this one would be way up near the top. I was reluctant to put it down and get on with other things. Will certainly be reading more of Glen Trust books
This book was very good. I looked forward to having time to read it each day. The author did a great job in portraying the racial attitudes for the time frame of the story. The story evokes many different emotions, makes you remember certain things and times in your life, makes you aware of ideals and thoughts and prejudices that existed and still exist whether you agree with them or not. Very well written, good characters (and bad), the author really brings the personalities to life so well. I would recommend this book. I'm glad I read it. It's good to be reminded of strength of character and standards to live by.
This book kept me interested from the very first line. It is a great story about 3 boys during a time I was not alive and for which I am thankful! Marvelous job keeping the storyline moving and making the reader feel as if they are living the story.
I received this book free from for Readers. I want to thank the publisher for generously making the book available at no charge. I enjoyed the read, and will seek out other books by the author(s).
This is a wonderful story. I've always been a Glenn Trust fan and this book increased his status in my eyes. It was happy; it was sad; it made me cry. Of course my growing up in about the same era helped. But mostly, Mr. Trust is an excellent writer. He has a fantastic way with words and can tell truly great stories that make the characters so real that they jump off the pages. I hope everyone reads this novel.
